I’m 29 now and I think I gain weight in my stomach. According to the eBooks that I have read, in young adulthood to middle age, this is the period when weight gain. But instead of weight gain in muscle parts but it’s gaining weight in the stomach.
These periods are usually a person, man or woman has decreased physical activity. Moreover, today’s far different from my father and mother era. My father and mother may often be used to perform physical activity such as walking or biking to where they work. While I, in today’s go anywhere using a vehicle and also too much sitting in front of a computer.
Furthermore, what to eat was my fathers and mothers in earlier times might have more fruits and vegetables that contain lots of fiber, while we now eat too much fast food which a lot of fat and less fiber.
Weight gain in midlife is correspond with decreased levels of some hormones. One of that hormone is a Growth Hormone, the level of steady decline in subsequent years. Fitness and exercise is the best way to increase growth hormone levels. Deficiency of Growth Hormone is associated with increases in body fat and reduced lean body weight.
This type of weight gain around the stomach (or central obesity) is a dangerous kind. Central obesity or apple shape related with increased risk of heart disease and other disease. Obesity is associated with levels of fats in the blood, gout, high blood pressure, diabetes, and insomnia. During this factors increase the risk of early liver disease.
I gain weight in my stomach, and now I know that too much fat in stomach is a threat to health!

- Eat less food with saturated fat (saturated) and lots of foods that contain unsaturated fats either polyunsaturated or monounsaturated.
- Buy a measure of fat. If overweight, try to reduce weight and limit your fat intake to less than 30 gm / day.
- Ask your doctor for specific advice.
